Guide section 35 of 55
Think in analytical questions, not screens
Web applications are often organized around tasks: dashboard → search → edit → submit → confirmation.
Power BI reports are organized around analytical questions:
| Page level | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Overview | What requires attention? |
| Analysis | Why is this happening? |
| Comparison | Where is the difference? |
| Detail | Which exact records explain it? |
A common analytical journey:
Overview ↓ Analysis ↓ Drillthrough ↓ Detail
Another:
Search / Lookup ↓ Results ↓ Entity Detail ↓ Transaction Detail
This is closer to information architecture for analysis than to traditional application screen flow.
