Guide section 35 of 55

Think in analytical questions, not screens

Web applications are often organized around tasks: dashboard → search → edit → submit → confirmation.

Power BI reports are organized around analytical questions:

Page levelQuestion it answers
OverviewWhat requires attention?
AnalysisWhy is this happening?
ComparisonWhere is the difference?
DetailWhich exact records explain it?

A common analytical journey:

Overview
   ↓
Analysis
   ↓
Drillthrough
   ↓
Detail

Another:

Search / Lookup
   ↓
Results
   ↓
Entity Detail
   ↓
Transaction Detail

This is closer to information architecture for analysis than to traditional application screen flow.
