Guide section 1 of 31
Purpose
This handbook consolidates the Power BI UX/UI guidance developed across our earlier discussions, interactive guides, prototypes and migration work. It is intended to let a designer or developer answer three questions quickly: what problem are we solving, which Power BI-native mechanism should implement it, and which parts should be standardized for reuse?
Primary audiences are UX/UI designers, product designers, Power BI developers, data/BI developers, product managers and business stakeholders. The guide deliberately separates platform capability from internal design-system choices so that a preferred pattern is never mistaken for a Power BI limitation.
The central operating principle recovered repeatedly is:
Business question → analytical goal → available data → page pattern → correct visual → native Power BI capability → reusable UX pattern → design-system mapping → Figma/Nudge BI → Power UI/theme → implementation.
