Drill-down is not drillthrough

Designers frequently confuse these two mechanisms.

Drill-down moves deeper inside the same hierarchy, usually staying on the same page and in the same visual.

A good drillthrough flow provides genuinely complementary analysis and a clear way back to the source context. Microsoft recommends exactly that pattern: identify an element, drill through for complementary analysis, return to the source page.
